Acupuncture works with the natural vital energies (qi) of the body. It enhances the body's
recuperative power and immunity in order to promote its ability to heal itself.
Your first session is spent determining your particular needs. Your medical history is reviewed and
there is discussion of what may be achieved through your course of treatment. Treatment
frequency is determined on an individual basis, as each patient has different needs.
During your treatment hair thin needles are inserted at specific points of the body to balance the
qi. The needles are disposable sterile stainless steel and are used only once and then
discarded. Depending on your treatment, the needles may remain from less than a minute to up
to 30 minutes. Most people feel no pain at all or a minimal sensation when the needles are

Chi Nei Tsang is a Taoist form of abdominal
massage based upon the ancient five tranformations
of qi/chi theory that is the heart of East Asian
traditional medicine. By freeing the abdomen of
tension, constraint, and congestion of fluids and
gas, the qi (bioenergy) moves properly in the
organ system. Chi Nei Tsang releases core
level stress from the abdomen first and then
assists the qi to move through the body
to help it self-heal.
The Jade Stone Gua Sha for Head and Neck Treatment
is based on ancient Chinese medicine techniques to
restore normal qi (energy) and blood flow to the neck
and head. The treatment utilizes a specially designed
jade stone tool to massage and manipulate the muscles
and fasciae of the face and neck while stimulating
acupuncture energy points of the neck and head. The
treatment restores qi (energy) and blood flow to the
neck and head and promotes lymphatic drainage.

Usui Shiki Ryoho is the Japanese healing practice of gentle non-invasive laying-on-of-hands healing. It originated
from the self-healing experience of Mikao Usui in the early part of the 20th Century.
Like acupuncture Reiki assists the person to self-heal. Reiki brings the body-mind-spirit into balance. It provides
the inner harmony necessary for a person to heal in whatever way is needed. It is ultimately the person's own
inner wisdom that directs the Reiki as needed. The practitioner is simply a conduit for this powerful energetic force
called Reiki. No diagnosis is required. It is non-invasive and cannot cause harm, but it can assist in healing and has
in recent modern medicine been recommended before and after surgery. It is the totality of being of a person that
knows what needs to be healed.

Acuharmonic Sound Vibration Therapy (ASVT) is an
excellent alternative to acupuncture for needle sensitive
or needle phobic patients. In an ASVT session vibrating
tuning forks are placed on acupuncture points or
around the body achieving many of the benefits of an
acupuncture treatment as well as those unique to sound
ASVT helps to quiet the sympathetic (fight or flight)
nervous system while activating the parasympathetic
nervous system. It calms and focuses the mind, relaxes
the muscles and respiratory diaphragm, improves
digestion and sleep, stimulates the release of
endorphins similar to acupuncture, assists the proper
flow of qi through the meridians (energetic channels)
and balances the energy centers (chakras). Thus it is a
valuable healing modality for stress-related or stress
exacerbated conditions and illnesses.
